Storage & Handling Guide

CJC-1295 (DAC) + Ipamorelin Blend Handling Reference

Handling reference for the CJC-1295 (DAC) + ipamorelin lyophilized blend. Storage, reconstitution, and the specific stability behavior of the DAC maleimide moiety.

Purity

≥99%

Lyophilized Powder Storage

Sealed lyophilized blend: −20 °C, protected from light. The DAC maleimide group is moisture-sensitive — keep desiccated. Stable >24 months when stored properly.

Reconstitution

Reconstitute the 10 mg blend in 2-3 mL bacteriostatic water. Solubility is high (>5 mg/mL combined). The maleimide is reactive toward thiols; do not reconstitute in solvents containing β-mercaptoethanol, DTT, or other reducing agents.

DAC Maleimide Stability

The maleimidopropionic acid moiety on CJC-1295 (DAC) is hydrolysis-sensitive above pH 7.5; the maleimide ring opens to a non-reactive maleamic acid form, abolishing the albumin-conjugation property in physiologic systems. Reconstituted solutions should be kept at pH 6-7 (bacteriostatic water default is ~6.5).

Reconstituted Solution Stability

At 2-8 °C, reconstituted blend retains DAC reactivity for 7 days. Beyond that, ring-opened hydrolysis fraction increases progressively. Ipamorelin in the same solution is stable for ≥21 days (no maleimide concerns).

Freeze-Thaw

Single freeze-thaw is acceptable. Multiple cycles risk maleimide ring opening through localized pH/water-activity changes. Single-use aliquots strongly recommended.

Documentation

Batch-specific COA documents both components' HPLC purity (≥99% each), mass spectra, and confirmed DAC maleimide reactivity by titration with a thiol probe.
